Advantages & FAQ

Advantages:

– Similar to Gap Cover, CoPay Cover is a stand-alone product which could be combined very well with any medical aid. As previously mentioned, most medical aids do have specific co-payments for certain procedures, so in most cases there would be a shortfall in the patient’s medical bill.

– With minimal effort, and great turn-around times CoPay Cover is a perfect add-on product which means that clients get better service & cover.

– R85 / month will cover a family of five members. The annual premium would thus be R1,020 which means that if the insured claims only once, the cost of the product for a year would be covered.

– Gap does not cover your co-payments therefore CoPay Cover is an ‘essential’ product to introduce into your basket.

– Families with children would find this exceptionally beneficial with procedures such as grommets, tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies and much more on the procedure list.

– Administration is done primarily by the RU offices which means a smooth application and claims process for clients.

– There is no maximum entry age.

– For large groups (300+) concessions and preferential underwriting could be negotiated.

– A stated benefit is paid into the insured’s account, so any extra amounts received by the insured could be used for unforeseen medical costs.
